I would like to see more job opportunities for us Handicapped/Disabled people. There are no jobs currently available for us & I'm in desire need of employment immediately. I do have a Ticket to Work which I have received in 2005. I have been looking for a job since that time & still no luck. It seems that no company wants to hire any of us handicapped/disabled people which is just terrible. I truly wish to have more help in getting employed right away. Hopefully there will be some company in the Chicago "Cook County" who would love to have us disabled/handicapped people as their employee.

I would like to know more about businesses that have job openings for the hearing-impaired in the Los Angeles and mid cities areas here in California. I presently work for a school district, but with the recent gradual hearing loss, I prefer and require a more quieter work environment as I am very sensitive to the noise levels of the classrooms and the like. It is fairly stressfull working in an environment that causes headaches, ear aches(drums). I do use a captel telephone for effective communication, also the light signal device to alert me that the phone is ringing as I have profound severe hearing loss. I would greatly appreciate any information that you could offer. Thank-You for your time in this matter, and I am looking forward to hearing from you.
